Malam Jabba is a Hill Station in the Swat Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is the home to skiing lovers as it is one of the ski two ski resorts in Pakistan. The other one is in the Naltar Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan.
Malam Jabba Ski Resort was built by the Government of Pakistan with the help of the Austrian Government. The Austrian Ambassador, who was a good friend of Wali of Swat, and was on a visit to Pakistan in 1962 suggested building a Ski Resort at Malam Jabba. The Austrian Government funded the chairlift and provided skis and boots. While on the other hand, the Pakistani Government built a hotel having 50 rooms.
Every year, the International Alpine Ski Cup is organized at Malam Jabba. Skies from all over the world come to Pakistan and participate in the Ski Cup. The skiers who ski at this Ski resort, regard it as the heaven for skiers.
The PTDC resort at Malam Jabba provides the tourists with a comfortable and luxurious stay. Other attractions of Malam Jabba include the trekking trails, camping sites, zipline, and chair lift.
The best time to visit this snow-covered place is in winter when the mountains are covered with heavy snow and people ski at skiing tracks.
