Taobat is a village in the Tehsil of Sharda, Neelum Valley, Azad Kashmir. It is about 200km away from Muzaffarabad, The capital of Azad Kashmir. The last station of Neelum Valley is Taobat. This village is accessible from Kel and is about 38km ahead of Kel.
Taobat is a very beautiful town that has natural beauty at its peak. It is the place where Neelum enters Pakistan and becomes River Neelum. It takes 3 hours to reach Taobat from Kel. On the way to Taobat from Kel, you will get to see the beautiful places like Halmat, Janawai, and Sardari. There is a tourist rest house in Halmat that provides facilities to the travelers. Taobat receives heavy snowfall in winter and the winter season here continues for 6 months i.e. October to April.
Taobat has beautiful and stunning scenic views that captivate the tourist and they forget to blink their eyes. Although there are no paths due to the heavy landslides and flooded streams, its beauty is matchless. In summer, tourists love to visit this place as its beauty is at a peak in the summer season.
It is recommended to get permission before visiting these areas as some of the areas are just on Line of Control. Due to this reason, it becomes difficult to explore the areas of the valley.
