Lahore is the capital city of Punjab. It is located in the north-east of Punjab part near the boundary line of India. It is one of Pakistan’s wealthiest cities with an expected aggregate GDP of $58.14 billion.
Lahore is referred to as the cultural heart of Pakistan as it hosts most of the arts, cuisine, festivals, music, film-making, gardening and intelligentsia of the country. This city is also famous as the City of Gardens. Many gardens were built during the Mughal era, some of which still survive. It is also well-known as Pakistan’s educational capital, with more colleges and universities than any other city in Pakistan.
Lahore’s advanced cityscape comprises of the Walled City of Lahore in the northern part of the city, which contains a few world and national traditional places. It has more Mughal-period landmarks than Delhi, India and structures from this time are currently amongst the most notable components of this city. Thirteen Gates covered the history walled city. Although all thirteen gates are not present today but some remaining gates includes Raushnai Gate, Masti Gate, Yakki Gate, Kashmiri Gate, Khizri Gate, Shah Burj Gate, Akbari Gate and Lahori Gate.
